Communication Access

The Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) is committed to providing communication access that facilitates the academic, professional and personal goals of deaf and hard of hearing faculty, staff, students and guests for all academic needs as well as student organizational needs, student support services, campus tours, lecture series and all other university events.

The commonly used modes of communication access are sign language interpreters, CART (real-time captioning), notetakers, assistive listening devices and preferential seating. Other modes of communication access may be available as needed. If you need communication access for an event, fill out the Event Request Form. Fill out the Semester Course Request Form if you need communication access for courses.

Deaf and hard of hearing faculty, staff, students and guests should review and adhere to the communication access guidelines to ensure effective communication access.
