April 11:

 

There will be a Center for Resiliency meeting in the Science and Technology Building in Room 203 from 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m. Dr. Liv Haselbach will present funded projects with a timeline for applications and review.

The Alumni Advisory Board will meet for their Spring Business meeting from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Science and Technology Building.

 

LU Baseball will play against Rice at Reckling Park in Houston, TX from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

 

 

April 13:

 

LU Women’s Tennis will play against McNeese at Nancy Hank Tennis Center in Lake Charles, LA from 1-4 p.m. 

 

Katherine Hoerth will read from her poetry book Flare Stacks in Full Bloom at the 2nd Floor Gallery in the Dishman Art Museum from 1:30-3 p.m. There will also be music and refreshments.

 

The Department of Theater and Dance presents “The Revolutionists” which will start at 7:30 p.m. at the Studio Theatre. Performances continue April 14 and 15 at 7:30 p.m. and a matinee performance April 16 at 2 p.m.

 

The Mary Morgan Moore Department of Music’s symphonic band along with West Brook High School and Beaumont United High School will perform in the Bands of Beaumont! Symphonic Band Concert at the Julie Rogers Theater from 7:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.

 

 

April 14:

 

The Undergraduate Research EXPO for 2023 will take place at the Setzer Student Center from 8:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.

 

LU Men’s Tennis will play against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at the LU Thompson Family Tennis Center from 3-6 p.m.

 

LU Softball will play against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at the Chapman Field in Corpus Christi, TX from 4-6 p.m. and again from 6-8 p.m.

 

LU Baseball will play against University of the Incarnate World at the Sullivan Field in San Antonio, TX from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

 

The Lamar Opera Theater presents “Der Betrogene Kadi” at the Rothwell Recital Hall from 7:30-9 p.m. April 14 and April 15.

 

 

April 15:

 

Lamar’s American Society of Civil Engineers will host a a fishing tournament April 15 at High Tides which is located at 3109 Texas Ave, Bridge City, TX from 6:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

 

Lamar University will host their annual Big Event at the Montagne Center Parking Lot from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

 

Admitted Student Day for incoming freshmen will take place at the Setzer Student Center from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

 

LU Softball will play against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at the Chapman Field in Corpus Christi, TX from 12-2 p.m.

 

LU Baseball will play against University of the Incarnate World at the Sullivan Field in San Antonio, TX from 2-4 p.m. They will also play from 1-3 p.m. on April 16.
