Beaumont, Texas – Mike Schultz will not return as Lamar University head football coach announced LU Director of Athletics Marco Born Monday afternoon. The move comes following LU's season finale that saw the Red and White finish the year with a 4-8 (.333) overall record and a 2-7 (.222) mark in conference play. Schultz posted a 13-22 (.375) mark during his three seasons on campus. A national search has begun for Schultz's replacement. No further comment will be made at this time.
