LU undergraduate presents research to state policymakers
The Advisory Board of the Office of Undergraduate Research selected Dylan Palmer, a mechanical engineering major, to represent Lamar University at the biennial Texas Undergraduate Research Day at Dylan Palmer working on his research. the Capitol in Austin. Palmer was selected from 10 nominations and seven eligible finalists for his research, “Fabrication of Superhydrophobic Aluminum Surfaces.”

Posters on the Hill - April 20-21, 2020
Daniel Quispe, Mechanical Engineering Major - mentor Dr. Cristian Bahrim - has been selected to participate at the prestigious “Posters on the Hill” event held annually in Washington, D.C, with a paper on "Implementing Solar Energy into Southeast Texas with Efficient Solar Cells." This is an exceptional success for Lamar University. It is only the third time in 15 years when a Lamar student is selected to present research in front of policy makers on the Capitol Hill, in D.C. "Poster on the Hill" is the most prestigious and competitive undergraduate research showcase in the United States, and it is hosted by the Council of Undergraduate Research.
