Texas Academy Student Council

In keeping with the mission statement of the program, Texas Academy offers leadership experience through our active student government.

Texas Academy Student Council officers are:

  • President
  • Vice-President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer

Elections and responsibilities of each office are delineated in the approved Texas Academy Student Council Constitution. All members of the student council must be in good standing and maintain a 3.0 GPA. The student services coordinator serves as advisor, with the dean as co-advisor, and either must be present for all official meetings.

The Texas Academy Student Council serves as a model for leadership training and a key element in community building. Active student government is strongly supported by the academy and students may propose activities to the dean through the president and advisor.
