Clinic Information

In the event of an emergency, students on campus should call the LU Police Department at extension 7777 (from an office phone) or 409-880-7777. An officer will evaluate the situation and determine the appropriate action, such as calling an ambulance for transport to the local emergency room of the student's choice.

Clinic Hours

Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm*
*While we are staffed Monday-Friday until 5:00 pm, we must allow time to complete necessary disinfection and cleaning of the clinic and required paperwork.

The Student Health Center provides care for students only during the hours listed above. There are no services available on weekends, holidays, or after hours. Students in need of counseling or medical services during these times are urged to contact one of the local medical or counseling facilities.

Parking

Medical, counseling, and health education departments are found in the Student Health Center, located at 857 East Virginia, across from the dining hall and behind the library. Parking is available in designated spaces in the adjacent parking lot. If you get a ticket during a Student Health Center visit, bring it to our front desk, and it will be validated by SHC staff. Parking in the SHC designated spots when not going to the SHC, parking in the handicapped spots without a placard, and parking in the emergency spot may result in a parking ticket. Parking in the emergency spot or the handicapped spot may also result in your vehicle being towed at your expense.
