The Student Government Association (SGA) represents the voice of students, facilitates new and improved student services and programs, and serves an important role in student judicial proceedings.

  • All enrolled Lamar University students are represented by the Student Government Association.
  • All enrolled students have the opportunity to promote, support, and participate in a well-rounded student life program.
  • Students can serve on the academic affairs, community outreach, environmental affairs, public relations, student organizations, and/or student services standing committees in addition to serving on other university advisory committees.

3/8/19 - 3/27/19: Official campaign period.
3/26/19: Get Out the Vote polling station at the Setzer Student Center, 10 am - 3 pm. Ballot opens on Self-Serv Banner, 8 am.
3/27/19: Get Out the Vote polling station at the Setzer Student Center, 10 am - 2 pm. Ballot closes on Self-Serv Banner, 5 pm.
3/29/19: Official results posted.
4/2/19: Runoff elections for Vice President opens on Self-Serv Banner, 8 am. Get Out the Vote polling station at the Setzer Student Center, 10 am - 2 pm.
4/3/19: Runoff elections for Vice President closes on Self-Serv Banner, 5 pm. Get Out the Vote polling station at the Setzer Student Center, 10 am - 2 pm.
