Doctoral Hooding Ceremony

Lamar University hosts a dedicated hooding ceremony to honor all our doctoral degree candidates. The ceremony allows for each doctoral candidate to be individually recognized and hooded by a faculty representative from their department.

The celebration will take place at the Montagne Center, May 14th at 12:00 pm, between the 10 am and 3 pm ceremonies. Students are encouraged to participate in both the commencement ceremony as well as the hooding ceremony.

An invitation has been sent to all doctoral graduates who have submitted their graduation application.
