Welcome-Family and Friends!

We are honored to have you be a part of this wonderful celebration in congratulating and honoring our new graduates. We welcome you to Lamar University. We know, without a doubt, the help and support from family and friends makes a big difference in our students' academic journey to receiving a diploma.

Guest Seating

Venue doors open and guest seating begins one hour prior to the start of the ceremony. Should another ceremony still be underway, guests are asked to wait until that group has departed to find their seats. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Large groups may want to arrive earlier to find seats together. Graduation ceremony locations are ADA compliant. Reserved seating for wheelchair/mobility/visually impaired patrons is available.

Tickets are not required for guest admissions.

Parking & Special Accommodations

To accommodate guests for the Commencement exercises, parking in the A-2 and A-5 lots will be reserved for our graduates, their guests and participants.
