COVID-19 Test Kiosk    A fast, easy, stress-free testing experience.

Lamar University has partnered with the Texas Division of Emergency Management and Curative Inc. to bring free COVID-19 testing to our campus community. The PCR test is collected with an oral swab and results are provided in less than 48 hours.

All LU faculty, staff and students, as well as the community are eligible for the testing. It is not recommended for those who have had a positive test within the last 90 days. The Curative Testing Kiosk is located at Lot A of the Montagne Center (North parking lot). Testing will be available Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Register for the free test by visiting the Curative Appointment Website where you'll choose a date and time.  Bring your insurance card or driver’s license to check-in. On-site registration will also be available.

How to Test

Step 1

Open the swab package and remove the swab.

Step 2

Cough deeply 3-5 times and swish spit around your mouth. Swab inside each cheek, upper and lower gums, underneath and top of tongue, and roof of mouth.

Step 3

Uncap the lid of the tube and insert the swab, tip pointing down.

Step 4

Securely cap the tube and turn it upside down several times to mix specimen with tube solution.

Step 5

Place the tube in the biohazard bag and seal the top.

Step 6

Return the bag to the Curative worker.
