Douglas Clark is a Texas artist from Port Arthur known for realistic bronze sculptures. Clark received his B.F.A. from the University of Texas in Austin and his M.F.A. from the University of Texas - Pan American in Edinburg, Texas. He also studied in Mexico at the University of Guadalajara and has done foundry work in Mexico City at Fundicion Artistica.He is currently a professor of sculpture at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Clark’s work may be seen at the Veteran’s War Memorial of Texas, Quinta Mazatlán World Birding Center, the City of McAllen, Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine in Port Arthur, Our Lady of Guadalupe School in Houston and the Museum of the Gulf Coast in Port Arthur.

Clark's sculpture of Beaumont Congressman Jack Brooks was commissioned by Port Arthur philanthropist Lloyd Hayes. Brooks (1922-2012) was a Democratic lawmaker who served in the House of Representatives for 42 years and was a champion for civil rights. He was instrumental in making Lamar Junior College a four-year institution now known as Lamar University.
