If there is power in words, someone who enables another to speak, must be a superpower. Lamar University has such a superpower. Lekeitha Morris, associate professor in the Department of Speech and Health Sciences. Lekeitha empowers individuals with communication disorders to communicate and best of all, she shares her superpower with her students.

“Everything I teach is in my area of expertise. It’s really nice to be part of a faculty in which we are able to teach what we love. We all teach in areas we do research in and that we’re passionate about. I appreciate that about our program here.”

The Student Health Center is now offering telemedicine and telehealth counseling appointments for select medical and mental health appointment types.
