LU Senior Reflection: Ariann Turpeau

"My advice for future Cardinals is make the most out of your time at Lamar! Get yourself out of your comfort zone and engage as much as you can."

Looking back on my time here at Lamar University, my most unforgettable moment was getting initiated into my sorority, Kappa Delta Chi! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, my initiation was postponed so that achievement was long over due. Some unique experiences that I've had at Lamar University are meeting some of my closest friends, one of them being my roommate, and spending a lot of time together before I graduated. The person who's been the most influential during my journey is Ms. Angela Clavijo, one of my professors who I had every semester for the last two years! She has always been supportive, helpful and understanding.

What's next for me after graduation? I'm going to be attending UTSA to earn my M.S.W. and become a school social worker! My advice for future Cardinals is make the most out of your time at Lamar! Get yourself out of your comfort zone and engage as much as you can.
