LU hosts annual Women's Symposium March 25

The Lamar University Office of Diversity and Inclusion will recognize Women’s History Month with the celebration of the second annual Women’s Symposium “Honoring Trailblazers and Mavericks.”

The symposium will take place Saturday March 25 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the McDonald Gym.

The symposium is a true commitment to diversity and the importance of women in a global society. Paramount to this belief is recognizing the importance of women in leadership positions. Lamar University alumnae from various professions will serve as panelists and share their stories. The symposium will inspire and encourage participants to optimize their talents, resources, networks, and passions to reach their goals.

Registration for the symposium is free and is open to all students, faculty, staff and community members regardless of gender. In addition, there will also be free food and giveaways.
