Veterans Day observance planned

The Lamar Veterans Organization, the 23rd Cardinal Command, will host a Veterans Day ceremony for Lamar University students, faculty, and staff Tuesday, Nov. 11.

“We are pleased to honor our veterans and show appreciation to LU's military veterans for their service and sacrifice,” said Tiemeyer White, president of the Lamar Veterans Organization.

A Veterans Day observance, with featured speakers, will be held at 10 a.m. in the campus quadrangle. After the observance, free food and drink will be available. Activities will continue until 2 p.m.
