Motherland: Stories and Poems from Louisiana

Motherland: Stories and Poems from Louisiana by Lynn Hoggard

by Lynn Hoggard

"The journey," Lynn Hoggard writes, "from childhood to adulthood, for many of us, is perilous. If we survive, we may bear scars and even open wounds that ache or cripple us for the rest of our lives. If the journey was joyful, we cherish and celebrate the events and people who helped us know life in its fullness. In either case, these experiences often define who we are as human beings."

This unique and beautiful memoir in poetry and creative nonfiction is one you will not want to miss.
