Writing Texas contains some of the fiction, poetry, and nonfiction presented at the annual meeting of the Texas Association of Creative Writing Teachers (TACWT). Included are short stories, poems, and nonfiction by Texas creative writing teachers and award-winning works by their students. This edition includes literary works presented during the meeting in San Antonio, Texas.

About the Editor
Lyman Grant has taught at Austin Community College since 1978, also serving in various leadership positions, including Dean of Arts and Humanities. In 2016-17, he will serve as Interim Dean of Communications. He has published poems in many journals and anthologies, including recently The Great American Wise Ass Anthology. Last Work is his most recent volume of poems.
