Note from the President

This spring issue of the LU Insider’s Report, a newsletter for our faculty and staff, showcases the accolades and accomplishments of our university and highlights some of our recent events and activities. In the fall, LU charted its highest recorded enrollment, and in December, a record number of graduates, along with family and friends, celebrated the conferring of their degrees. Thanks to each of you for the role you play in our students’ success. We also have a number of facility and infrastructure projects that are or will soon be underway around campus. More information about these will be in an upcoming issue of the LU Insider this summer.

New Frontiers for LU Reaud Honors College

Construction is scheduled to be completed this summer on Lamar University’s new three-story Wayne A. Reaud Building, future home of LU’s Honors College. The project broke ground in October 2014 thanks to gifts from Wayne Reaud and Jon Huntsman Sr., which also allowed the university to upgrade its long-standing Honors Program into an Honors College.

Staff Council Updates
