In addition to supplying scholarships for tuition and fees, the McMaster endowment also provides a pool of funds for student research and special study programs. Students may apply for grants to support individual research or creative production as well as participation in field schools, seminars, conferences, and study abroad programs.

Special consideration will be given to students involved in Honors Thesis projects and individual study/scholarship courses resulting in Honors course credit. Students interested in applying for a McMaster Grant in Aid of Research, Creative Scholarship or Study must submit a proposal with the approval of a faculty supervisor and department chair. The requested budget normally should not exceed $1,000. Requests for faculty or student stipends are not appropriate.
