Positions Available

Visitor Services Liaison

Greet visitors, answer questions, give directions and provide information about the collection and special exhibitions.

The Dishman Art Museum is looking for outgoing, reliable volunteers to share their passion for art at the Visitor Services Desk. Visitor Services Liaisons are the face of the Dishman Art Museum, and we rely on their energy and enthusiasm. In exchange, we provide a meaningful, memorable experience for the aspiring arts professional as well as the seasoned community volunteer. This is a great opportunity for people who hope to pursue careers in museum settings or who just plain love art to get a look behind the scenes and to be inspired by the fabulous Spencer collection. It is also a great way for young people to gain customer service experience. Comfort interacting with the public, answering phones and giving clear directions is a must. Volunteers need to be able to make a commitment of anywhere from two hours per week to 6 hours per week. Arrangements for vacation or travel can be made with advanced notice. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.
