Financial Reporting, Compliance and Post-Award Administration

The Financial Reporting, Compliance and Post-Award Administration area is committed to providing timely, accurate, and courteous assistance to our faculty, external sponsors, and other University personnel. We assist faculty and staff with exercising good fiscal management practices for the administration, during the lifecycle of the grant, and closeout of all externally funded sponsored programs at Lamar University. For any questions or concerns, the staff is available Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

What is Post-Award?

We provide financial and accounting services for all grant management activities after an award is received. This includes the initial authority to spend the grant money through the fiscal closeout period of the grant. We are responsible for any financial reports during the grant period and any final reports due at the end of the grant period.

Post-Award Administration assists Principal Investigators with the financial management of their sponsored research projects and with maintaining financial compliance with federal, state, local, and university regulations.
