Call to Order: 3:35 p.m.

Approval of Minutes: Kami Makki made a motion to approve the minutes of the last meeting. Zanthia Smith seconded the motion, the motion passed.

SOCI 3355:

• Title and description were changed on the syllabus. The contact hours on the course change form were changed from 3 hours to 45 hours.  Cynthia Barnes made a motion to approve the changes.
• Paul Hemenway seconded the motion, the motion passed.

SOCI 4325:

• Contact hours were changed. Course will be online.  All corrected information appeared to be presented.   Cynthia Barnes made a motion to approve the course.
• Zanthia Smith seconded the motion, the motion passed.

SOCI 4335:

• Check the grading scale. Review the Honesty Policy.  Old language for Student with Disabilities Policy.  Change course outcomes to student outcomes  
• Zanthia Smith made a motion to approve with corrections. Cynthia Barnes seconded the motion, the motion passed.      

Sociology Degree Plan:

• Department required 15 hours (changed to 9 hours). Total advance hours at Lamar University 45. Not in catalogue.  Old form was used.

DSDE 3311:

• Course description on the course addition form and syllabus matched. Course objectives not written as student outcome. Remove the statements concerning the syllabus may change and course schedule may change. The attendance policy is addressed.

DSDE 3312:

• Pre-requisite should be a grade of C. Remove the syllabus will change statement.

DSDE 3314:

• Remove schedule may change statement. Check the Students with Disabilities statement.  In the course description the word general was omitted but corrected.
• Cynthia Barnes made a motion to approve with corrections.  Paul Hemenway seconded the motion, the motion passed.

DSDE 3321:

• The number entered into the table was incorrect. The old table did not total or match.
• Cynthia Barnes made a motion to approve with corrections.  Zanthia Smith seconded the motion, the motion passed.

DSDE 3322:

• The section numbers on the cover sheet does not belong. Had errors that were removed.

• The point value and range on the grading scale were corrected.

• The emergency procedures were duplicated (one was removed).

• All of the numbers add up correctly.

Teaching Track Degree Plan:

• No corrections. Boyd Lanier made a motion to approve the minor, B.A. in Advocacy, B.A. in Interpreting and the Teaching Track Degree Plan.
