I. Call to Order: Raylynn Roche at 2:05 pm
II. Approval of December 2025 Minutes
- Motion to approve by Dr. Lilian Felipe at 2:06 pm
- Seconded by Dr. Elizabeth Long at 2:06 pm
- Motion passes by a vote of 7-0
III. Updates from the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs Administration (ORSPA):
- Raylynn Roche – Electronic Research Administrator
- Introduced new board member – Wendy Greenidge, Ph.D
- Selected new IRB chair – Previous chair, Shannon Jordan, resigned from the IRB board. Dr. Elizabeth Long volunteers to be IRB chair.
- Reviewed the Individual Investigator Agreement form.
- Reviewed the new Research Requiring IRB Review webpage. Discussed the possibility of IRB training for graduate students in Research Methods courses.
- Reviewed the new Faculty Investigators Using Own Students as Research Subjects webpage. Discussed using IRB coordinator as third party collection, course credit and equivalent assignments for student participation in research studies and avoiding student coercion through transparency and consent.

V. Other Business Items
- Fall 2026 meeting dates proposed: 09/30/2026 and 12/02/2026. Will send out emails at a later date to confirm board member availability and meeting dates
- Reminder of CITI training and that training course has already been uploaded to their CITI account. – Reminder emails will go out after IRB meeting.
