HONORS COUNCIL MINUTES: October 5, 2015
PRESENT: Kevin Dodson, Rebekah Maxwell, Kumer Das, Jeff Palis, Larry Allen, Nicki Michalski, Michael Saar, Clare Burns, Randy Yoder, Donna Wilsker, Kathy Fraccastoro, Andrea Karlin, and Monica Harn.
Meeting was called to order at 4:05pm by Dr. Kevin Dodson.
DEAN’S REPORT:
Dr. Dodson welcomed new members of Honors Council and introduced Rebekah Maxwell, the new Coordinator of the Honors College.
Reminder that the Reaud Reception will be held Oct. 6th at 3:30pm on the 8th Floor of the Library.
HNRS-4364 Proposal—Study Abroad in Belize during the May Mini semester which would involve stem and non-stem students. Pros and cons were discussed and the council decided to proceed with course to see if it makes.
Dr. Dodson reported that 17 study abroad grants were given during the spring 2015 semester.

- Revising the Mission Statement
- Forming an External Advisory Board
- Maximum Credit Hours/Continuing Students
- Non-Course Credit
