Minutes for CID Meeting June 24, 2020 3:30-4:30 via TEAMS and Reaud Event Center

 

  1. We had a discussion on various options and ideas for fall alternative scheduling and classrooms led by Lynn Maurer and Amy Smith who chair the adhoc committees looking into these issues. Thank you to Dr. Maurer and Dr. Smith and the President, Provost and Mr. Alltop for attending. There were many contributions from the chairs regarding other concerns and/or best practices. IF YOU THINK OF ANY OTHER CONSIDERATIONS OR IDEAS FOR BEST PRACTICES THAT THESE COMMITTEES MIGHT INCLUDE IN THEIR WORK PLEASE EMAIL Dr. Maurer or Dr. Smith ASAP WITH THE DETAILS.
  2. The CID decided to meet again for a special meeting on July 22nd, and due to numerous IT questions, we would like to invite Patrick Stewart et al. from IT. PLEASE SEND ANY COVID19 TOPICS/QUESTIONS THAT ARISE TO YOUR EXEC. COMMITTEE PERSON BEFORE JULY 16TH, SO WE CAN CONSULT WITH THE PRESIDENT AS TO THE APPROPRIATE GUESTS TO INVITE WHO CAN BEST RESPOND.
  3. It was agreed to that we will discuss inclusion/diversity best practices for regular August meeting, and we will also invite a guest(s) to speak on the issue per the recommendation of the President.
  4. Please look at the list of 2020/2021 CID committee liaison assignments and recommend who might fill them so we can decide at the August meeting. The names listed are simply past ones for reference.
