The rewards of mentoring relationships are immeasurable. Mentoring is a nurturing process; it involves teaching, encouraging and counseling a less experienced person to promote professional and personal development. Mentors encourage future leaders to find success and are rewarded with their own personal growth through learning a new way of thinking. Mentees have an opportunity to gain practical knowledge and insight from a seasoned professional who has achieved a level of expertise they aspire to attain. Organizations have the opportunity to further develop and disseminate the wealth of talent, skill and knowledge needed to make an organization thrive. Like all relationships, the bonds formed while mentoring are subject to change and growth. Most mentoring relationships go through predictable stages such as the introductory/rapport building stage, direction/expectation setting, progress making, and maturation. Come learn from experts to support you on your mentoring journey and learn skills to participate confidently and create meaningful mentoring relationships throughout the mentorship life cycle.
