The Department of Art & Design will be hosting an art history lecture series with guest speaker Dr. Michael Anthony Fowler. Fowler is Assistant Professor of Art History at East Tennessee State University. He completed a Ph.D. in Art History and Archaeology at Columbia University in 2019, specializing in the visual and material cultures of ancient Greece and West Asia. In his lecture, Dr. Fowler will present a portion of his research on the iconography of man-eating myths and its implications for ancient Greek anthropology.
