Port and Maritime Research Showcase (Postponed)

The Center for Advances in Port Management is hosting a university-wide Port and Maritime Research Showcase on April 1, 2020, in the CICE Building’s Hatchery. This event is intended to showcase the breadth and depth of groundbreaking port, freight transportation and maritime research being undertaken by LU faculty across disciplines, as well as to offer opportunities for cross-disciplinary networking. The event will feature a poster session and an opportunity for faculty to interact with industry partners.

CAPM Internally Funded Grants Fiscal Year 2020

Through CAPM's Request for Proposals, four research projects received internally funded grants. 

The administration of this grant program aims to: (1) enhance productivity in port industry relevant research, scholarship, and creative activity; and (2) develop programs in high profile niche research areas, including specialized and multi-disciplinary programs. 

CAPM relevant topics: The proposed work must be focused on topics relevant to the port and marine terminal operating industry, freight transportation systems and logistics, or related issue areas that contribute to safe, secure, efficient and sustainable transportation of freight. Of interest this coming year is transportation system resiliency. Proposal rating criteria reflect this priority.
