Our graduate degree allows you to choose courses in foods and nutrition, family studies, and other areas within the field. You'll be able to choose among daytime and online courses, and you'll have opportunities to participate in workshops and travel/study tours.

Admission Requirements

  • Candidates for admission must meet all the admission requirements of the College of Graduate Studies and specific departmental requirements and approval.
  • Undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 (institutional bachelor’s degree) requires no GRE
  • Candidates must satisfy the necessary undergraduate prerequisites as prescribed for a particular area of specialization.
  • Applicants are required to submit a letter of interest, outlining their professional goals and aspirations.
  • Prospective students are to submit one professional letter of recommendation that addresses their academic, professional, and other strengths.


If your undergraduate degree is in a discipline other than FCSC or one of its subject matter areas, you may be required to complete some amount of undergraduate coursework. The graduate advisor will work closely with you to determine any undergraduate deficiencies.
