Health and Environmental Education Corps

HEEC members train to plan and deliver appropriate heath and environmental education programs that cater to diverse community needs. This training:

1.  Exposes undergraduate and graduate students to various professional learning and work avenues.

2.  Provides students with an opportunity to develop skills and competency in health & environmental science that will help them succeed in a diverse work environment upon completion of their education at Lamar University.

HEEC works in accordance with the Lamar University mission of "educating a diverse student body, preparing students for leadership and lifelong learning in a multicultural world, and enhancing the future of Southeast Texas, the state, the nation, and the world through teaching, research and creative activity, and service."
