Donna Azodi, Ed.D.

Dr. Azodi received a doctorate in educational leadership, as well as principal certification from Sam Houston State University. Additionally, she received a master's degree in reading from the University of Tulsa and an undergraduate degree in elementary education from the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Azodi is currently an assistant professor in the educational leadership master’s program.

She has over 30 years of experience as an educator. During that time, Dr. Azodi has served as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, associate principal and a director of special programs at the district level. Additionally, she has served as a regional coordinator for NCLB serving school districts in Education Service Center Regions 3, 4 and 6. For the four years prior to working at Lamar University, Dr. Azodi served as an educational specialist in the Accountability and Leadership Solutions department at Region 4 Education Service Center. In this role, she provided support to districts and campuses in the areas of school improvement processes, federal and state programs, as well as accountability and compliance. Prior to joining the LU staff, Dr. Azodi had six years of experience as an adjunct professor in the College of Education at Sam Houston State University.
