UNIDAD Scholars Program

Mission

The mission of the UNIDAD Scholars Program is to enhance retention, matriculation, and timely graduation of underserved and underrepresented Hispanic students at Lamar University. We achieve this mission by providing students who are enrolled in the program with holistic mentoring; high-quality college success learning support; and leadership development skills. In addition, we also provide our UNIDAD Scholars opportunities for professional development, career exploration, internship, integrated cultural enrichment, health and wellness, diversity and global awareness, financial literacy, and goal development.

Vision

To provide UNIDAD Scholars Program participants with comprehensive, high quality, and academically centered support services while simultaneously developing and promoting professionalism, leadership, service, and academic excellence.
