Dr. Amy Smith, Director

Amy C. Smith is Director of the Center for Teaching & Learning Enhancement and Associate Professor of English at Lamar University. She holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from Binghamton University. Dr. Smith teaches courses in British and world literature, mythology, composition, and philosophy. Her research focuses on modernist literature and on active learning techniques, specifically project-based and team-based learning in online and traditional courses.

Dr. Rezvan Khoshlessan

Dr. Rezvan Khoshlessan, Coordinator

Rezvan Khoshlessan, Ed. D. currently works full-time as the coordinator for the Center for Teaching and Learning Enhancement (CTLE). As the Coordinator for the Center, she identifies educational content and technologies; provides support to university faculty and staff upon request; works with the director to budget, schedule, and coordinate faculty professional development events and project; and manages the resource decisions. She received her doctorate degree in Educational Leadership in 2013. Prior to pursuing her doctorate at Lamar University, she was a full-time ESL/EFL faculty member teaching English courses in Tehran, Iran. Her research interest includes higher education, international students, active and collaborative techniques, and study anxiety.
