Jack M. Gill, PhD
Professor of the Practice of Entrepreneurship, Rice Univ.
Jack Gill is a 35-year veteran of Silicon Valley and Boston and has founded and financed dozens of successful companies in the instrumentation, computer, communications, and life science industries. He co-founded Vanguard Ventures in 1981. Vanguard’s first five funds invested $155 million in 103 startups and generated over $1 billion return to investors.

Larry Lawson
Founder & Chairman, HeartcoR Solutions, Lamar Alum
Larry Lawson was founder and CEO of Preventice and eCardio, and has 45 years of medical device and healthcare industry experience. Founder and CEO of Diagnostic Monitoring Associates. Early career experience at Johnson & Johnson, Edward Weck & Co. and Deseret Medical.

Anthony George
CEO, Control Dynamics International, Lamar Alum
Anthony George serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Control Dynamics International, LP (CDI) and Nautical Control Solutions, located in the Woodlands, TX. Formerly, he was a Control Systems Engineer with Temple Inland. George holds a BS degree in Physics, minor in EE/CS from Lamar University. He studied Corporate Finance at Rice University.

Brandon Price, PhD
Co-Founder & President, Biogenin S.A.P.I. de C.V. (Guadalajara)
Brandon Price is a scientist, businessman and entrepreneur, with 30 years in the biopharmaceutical industry. He is Senior VP of Business Development at Nascent Biotech (a clinical-stage public company developing cancer biologic drugs). He holds the BS and PhD degrees in Biophysics from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Scott Parazynski, MD
Astronaut, Explorer, Physician, Inventor, Founder
Scott Parazynski is a physician and former NASA astronaut with five Space Shuttle flights and seven spacewalks. He holds an MD from Stanford Medical School and has climbed Mount Everest (twice!). Scott also is an avid pilot and inventor. He recently founded Fluidity Technolgies to commercialize his invention: a hyper-intuitive, one-handed drone controller that vastly improves ease of maneuvering in physcial or virtual space.

Brittany Barreto, PhD
Founder and Start-up CEO, Phermamor
Brittany Barreto earned her PhD in Molecular and Human Genetics from Baylor College of Medicine. She has extensive experience in research, teaching, and leadership. Brittany has been involved in the Houston startup community for three years, consulting for Luminostics and serving as T.A. for Dr. Jack Gill’s Life Science Entrepreneurship course at Rice University. She recently founded Pheramor, a company that aims to enhance dating romance through genetics and technology.
