Congratulations, Lamar University Graduates!

December 2020 Commencement

We are excited to celebrate our graduates in person this semester outside at Provost Umphrey Stadium. We are looking forward to recognizing the accomplishments of the Lamar University students who have worked diligently towards their degree while demonstrating a great deal of determination, especially during this past year.

Commencement will be streamed live for those who cannot attend or if a graduate has more than the allowed guest total - with social distancing, we can only accommodate four guests per graduate and will have assigned seats.

The ceremonies will be held at the following times with graduates each attending one of these dependent upon which Commencement they signed up to attend. Please check with your graduating student to make sure and watch the correct streamed ceremony.

Friday, Dec. 11 at 3pm
Saturday, Dec. 12 at 10am
Saturday, Dec. 12 at 2pm

Congratulations to all of our LU graduates on your great achievement and the challenges you have overcome to achieve your goals.

Reaud Honors College

We are so proud of our graduates and this remarkable life achievement. Many of these students were with us through Harvey, Imelda and now COVID-19. They’ve persevered. They’ve overcome. They’ve accomplished a tremendous goal despite adversity. These are courageous individuals. I wish I could congratulate each of them in person.
