The Resilience and Recovery Summit is an annual conference presented by the Center for Resiliency (CfR) at Lamar University. A multidisciplinary group of researchers have joined together to develop a deeper understanding of multi-disaster resiliency in the Southeast Texas Region. The objective of the Resilience and Recovery Summit is to present collaborative information with local governmental, health, industrial, science/engineering, and business leaders in an effort to increase knowledge, awareness, and communication. It is hoped that through these efforts, community resilience will be enhanced and Southeast Texas will be strengthened in its’ preparedness to face future disaster.
The primary focus of the RnR Summit this year will be uniting the community by strengthening collaborative recovery efforts to address recent challenges and build resilience through informed planning. The Summit will provide a format for:
