Randy Edwards '08
BIO
Randy is a 2008 graduate of the Lamar University College of Business. He started his entrepreneurship journey in 2004 with Witness Photography. After graduation Edwards took two years to travel the United States photographing extreme sports. Landing firmly back in Southeast Texas in 2010 he and two friends took their focus on bringing better beer to the area with a beer advocacy group dubbed the Yeast Priest. This was the point that food and beverage consumed him. Spending nearly a decade in the beverage distribution business Randy found himself yearning for independence. The Avenue Coffee & Café opened its doors in December of 2017 as Mid County’s destination coffee shop and coffee roaster. In April of 2021 he joined the team at Buckstin Brewing Co. to start down the path into self-distribution of their award-winning beers.
