College of Business Admissions Updates

Lamar University has changed admissions policies for students applying for Summer 2020 and Fall 2020 terms. Changes for the College of Business include:

Freshman/Transfer Student
  • All Application fees are waived
  • Admission is test optional – SAT/ACT score is not required.  Admission decisions will evaluate the applicant wholistically reviewing entire application
  • High school seniors with 18 or more hours of dual credit and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher are automatically admitted
  • Unofficial transcripts are accepted

Graduate

  • GRE/GMAT is temporarily waived (until further notice) for M.B.A. and M.S.-MIS applicants
  • Separate application for GRE/GMAT waiver is not necessary
  • GRE/GMAT testing options are available remotely
  • Automatic admission for Applicants with a GPA of 2.5 or higher from their last 60 hours of undergraduate or combined undergraduate/graduate coursework
International
  • To assist international students with a remote testing option,  English Proficiency test score reports from Duolingo are accepted
