Bahrim Nominated for Advisor Award

Dr. Cristian Bahrim, professor of physics and interim director of the Office of Undergraduate Research, was nominated for the 2019 American Institute of Physics’ Society of Physics Students & Sigma Pi Sigma Cristian BahrimOutstanding Chapter Advisor award.  

Bahrim was nominated for his hard work and commitment to students, education and the department. “Your dedication has helped to foster the next generation of problem solvers and made our community a stronger place,” said Dr. Brad Conrad, director, Society of Physics Students & Sigma Pi Sigma,

American Institute of Physics. “It is because of advisors like you that SPS forms a home for thousands of students across the globe.”

All nominees for the award are recognized on the Society of Physics Students & Sigma Pi Sigma website.

Dr. Alina Gearba-Sell of the United States Air Force Academy was awarded the 2019 Outstanding Chapter Advisor Award.
