The Big Event is an incredible way for LU students to come together for one day to say "Thank You!" to Southeast Texas through community service. Our Lamar University event is modeled after The Big Event created by Texas A&M in 1982.

How do I join?

• The Big Event is open to the whole LU family - students, faculty, staff and alumni!

What happens at The Big Event?

• Meet us at the Montagne Center Parking Lot for the Kickoff Party.
• We'll hand out your tools, supplies, and assignments for the day.
• Plus, we'll have free food and music to start your day off right!
