The Nightingale Experience

The Nightingale Experience is a two-day event each June for high school students who are interested in nursing as a career choice. In order to attend, high school students are nominated by high school counselors. Current nursing students, nursing faculty, and hospital staff introduce the high school participants to the nursing profession by planning a variety of fun, educational, hands-on nursing experiences.  Participants are able to participate in simulated hands-on nursing skills on campus and in hospital settings such as the emergency department, the intensive care unit, labor & delivery, and the nursery.
