Clubs and Organizations
With more than 100 registered clubs and organizations at Lamar University, students can easily pursue almost any interest. And if a relevant club does not already exist, students can always start a new one.
Lamar University is home to 20 national fraternities and sororities. The Inter-Fraternity Council governs six fraternities – Kappa Alpha Order, Kappa Sigma, Pi Kappa Alpha, Sigma Nu, Sigma Phi Delta, and Sigma Phi Epsilon. The College Panhellenic Council governs three sororities – Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Delta Pi and Zeta Tau Alpha. The National Pan-Hellenic Council governs eight historically African-American fraternities and sororities – Alpha Kappa Alpha, Alpha Phi Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi, Phi Beta Sigma, Sigma Gamma Rho and Zeta Phi Beta. The Multicultural Greek Council governs Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, and Sigma Sigma Rho Sorority. Visit the Greek Life page to find out more.
