'Winter Wonderland' Advisory for Week of Welcome

Lamar University’s Office of Student Engagement is issuing a “Winter Wonderland” Advisory for new and returning students.

It’s all part of the fun of Week of Welcome – a series of events to welcome students back to the campus and to introduce them to student life – that includes a “Winter Wonderland” that is sure to the be the highlight of the week.

The activity, Wed., Jan. 20, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. will include and ice skating rink, and a giant snow globe (large enough to get photos in with friends), and a 30-foot snow slide.  The events will take place on the lawn in front of the LU Dining Hall.

After playing in the (artificial) snow, what could be better than enjoying a movie (Disney’s Frozen, of course) under white lights and sipping hot cocoa? Snacks, warm drinks, fire pits and more … all sure to make for a cozy welcome.
