KVLU hosts "New York City Holiday" trip

Lamar University public radio KVLU (91. 3 FM) will host a "New York City Holiday" travel adventure, December 4-8, 2014. The four-day tour offers a full schedule of events from sightseeing around some of Manhattan’s most iconic sites to a performance of the Radio City Music Hall's "Christmas Spectacular."

“December is a magical time to be in New York,” said Melanie Dishman, KVLU's station manager for advancement and the tour coordinator. “This trip is a great introduction to the city during its most festive season.”

Included in the trip is a sightseeing tour of the island with a stop at the World Trade Center Memorial and the Statue of Liberty, as well as a Broadway theater performance, the Radio City show, and leisure time to explore the city’s best museums and world-famous department stores for Christmas shopping. Three breakfasts and two dinners are also part of the package.

“We’ll stay right in the heart of the theater district near Times Square,” Dishman said. “It’s a great location from which to explore the city.”

For more information, contact Dishman at (409) 880-8165 or melanie.dishman@lamar.edu. All trip details, including prices and reservation forms are online at www.kvlu.org. The reservation deadline is June 27.
