LU offers Study Abroad Fair March 6
Lamar University students can earn academic credits through faculty-led programs and experience the Great Wall, the Statue of David, the night scenery of Shanghai or the Café Life of Paris, and other exciting world sites.
To help students learn about the opportunities available to them, the university is holding its first Study Abroad Fair, on Thursday, March 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Setzer Student Center.
There, interested students will have opportunity to meet with program representatives, students who have recently returned from study abroad experiences and the LU Study Abroad Staff to learn about the wide array of study abroad opportunities Lamar University offers.
Students participating in study abroad experiences benefit in a myriad of ways including personal growth and intellectual maturity, developing a personally informed view of the world, and a better understanding of one's own cultural values and respect for diversity. An opportunity to engage with students from around the world presents unique perspectives and global awareness. The advantage of studying abroad with Lamar University is learning in another country, making long-lasting friendships and memories.
