LU Alumni Office schedules Craft Beer Pairings
The Lamar University Office of Alumni Affairs has announced a Craft Beer Pairings event scheduled for Friday, March 28, from 7-9 p.m. at the Spindletop/Gladys City Boomtown Museum on the LU campus.
“At this Craft Beer Pairings, we will offer tastings of eight different craft beers paired with various gourmet cheeses and sweets,” said Linda LeBlanc, director of the LU Alumni Office. “Brandon East, our craft beer consultant, will be on hand to answer questions. We will even be serving beer floats in the Gladys City Soda Shoppe.”
The beer and cheese tasting stations will be located in the various buildings at Gladys City, with Mad Maude & the Hatters providing the entertainment on the derrick in the middle of the “town square”. Dress will be very casual. In case of rain, the pairings will be moved to the University Reception Center on the eighth floor of the Mary and John Gray Library.
If you would like to attend this event, you must register before March 21. Alumni, as well as, non-alumni guests who are at least 21 years old are welcome to attend. Campus policy on serving alcoholic beverages forbids current Lamar University students of any age to attend. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to have a great time, listen to great music and check out what all the craft beer fuss is about.
