LU spring registration deadline extended
Students still have time to register for spring classes at Lamar University. Late registration for the Spring 2012 semester has been extended through the close of business Tuesday, Jan. 24. Today (Wednesday, Jan. 18) is the first class day of the semester.
Students must apply and be admitted to Lamar University before registering for classes. For information on becoming a student, visit beacardinal.com or call (409) 880-8888.
Students also must comply with a new state law that requires all new students under age 30 who attend on-campus classes to receive a vaccination against bacterial meningitis or meet specific criteria for declining a vaccination. The requirement does not apply to students who were enrolled at LU in fall 2012, those enrolled only in online courses and those who are 30 or older. More information on the vaccination requirement is available online at www.beacardinal.lamar.edu/bacterial-meningitis.
Those who have been admitted as LU students may register online at lamar.edu by logging in to Self-Service Banner using their student identification number (L-number) and personal identification number (PIN).
A comprehensive public university and a member of the Texas State University System, Lamar University offers many online courses and more than 100 degree programs leading to bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees.
