91.3 KVLU to feature special holiday programs
The holiday spirit comes to Lamar University public radio KVLU with a full complement of programs to enjoy during the coming days, including a special “Dugan on Classics” honoring the late Norma and Jerry White, longtime KVLU supporters.
“The idea to pay tribute to the Whites came from one of our members, and we thought it was fitting considering their love of music,” said Al Dugan, host of the program that will air 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30.
“The Whites not only loved classical music and traveled frequently to Europe’s musical cities such as Vienna and Prague for live performances, they also performed in local civic opera productions,” said Dugan.
The Whites’ sons, Joe and David, also vocal performers, will join Dugan as guests to talk about their parents’ love of classical performances, especially the Vienna Philharmonic, which will be featured on the show.
