Early Childhood Development Center has openings for 2011-2012
Lamar University’s Early Childhood Development Center, a National Association for Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accredited program, has openings for its 12-month and 9-month programs, said center director Margaret Swope.
The Center, at 950 Jim Gilligan Way, is licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and is the only NAEYC-accredited program in Southeast Texas. The center is fully staffed by degreed and state-certified teachers.
Openings are available in the 12-month program for children ages 18 months to 5 years and in the 9-month program for children ages 3 and 4. The center is open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Classes in the 12-month program begin at 9:30 a.m. Classes in the 9-month program begin at 8:30 a.m.
Classes begin Aug. 22. Students should be enrolled by Aug. 17. For more information on programs at the center or to enroll, call Swope at 880-8212.
