Mail Processing Services

Folding

There are several types of folds available. A completed Mailing Service Request Form for folding copied or printed matter is required. Please contact Marcus Black at 880-8485 for more information.

Insertion (Envelope Stuffing)

The insertion of correspondence, reprints, and other printed matter into pre-addressed or window envelopes (in excess of 100 pieces) is available in the Mail center. A completed Mailing Service Request Form for folding copied or printed matter is required. Please contact Marcus Black at 880-8485 for more information.

Note: Before submitting a request for folding and/or inserting, we will be glad to look at sample forms and envelopes to determine if the materials can be processed on our mail processing systems. We can also offer suggestions for size and shape requirements to keep your mailing costs as low as possible.

Sealing

Automatic sealing of standard-sized gummed envelopes for mailing is provided for by the Mail center.

For ten or more envelopes requiring sealing, leave the flaps open, nest the envelopes into each other and then secure the contents of the envelopes with an elastic band. Forwarded to Mail center in this manner, the envelopes bypass sorting and are directly moved to the sealing and metering machine.

Note: Envelopes that are received with the flaps closed will be returned for flapping to the originator.

Packaging

Several sizes and types of corrugated boxes are stocked in the Mail center in limited quantities. The clerk will prepare, package, process and mail each item forwarded to Mail center accompanied with an addressed label and a completed Mailing Service Request Form.

Assembly / Collation

Specialized assembly or collation of multiple units may be arranged for by contacting Cynthia Perkins, Sr. Requirements Clerk, or Todd Byerly, Postal Clerk, at 880-8485.
